The Root Chakra
Associated with instincts of survival, self-preservation and safety. It is the foundation of our being and or identity. This energy center represents personality, stability, safety, family, abundance, balance, security, ethics, nourishment, contentment, fulfillment, rootedness, commitment, boundaries, and order
Location: bones, feet, knees, legs, perineum, coccyx, base of spine
Imbalances may present as: anxieties, phobias, insomnia, substance abuse
Color: Red
The Sacral Chakra
Associated with sexuality, creativity, emotions, money, connection, intimacy
Location: 2” below the navel, kidneys, bladder, sex organs, sacrum, hips
Imbalances may present as: hip pain, sciatica, prostate issues, sterility, infertility, endometriosis, erectile dysfunction, bladder issues
Color: Orange
The Sacral Chakra
Associated with Identity, inner power, self-confidence, motivation, personal power, instincts, decision making.
It is also called the Power Center.
Location: 2” above the navel, liver, pancreas, gall bladder, intestines, stomach
Imbalances may present as: hepatitis, gall stones, pancreatitis,
Color: Yellow
The Heart Chakra
Associated with the balance point of the higher and lower body, it is about self-love, divine desires, compassion, giving and receiving of love, storing and emotional processing of life experiences
Location: heart, lungs, arms, hands
Imbalances may present as: high blood pressure, angina, tuberculosis, loneliness, depression, heart issues, arthritis
Color: Green or pink
The Throat Chakra
Associated with self-expression, honest communication, direction, decisions, speaking truth of oneself
Location: base of throat, above the sternal notch, throat, shoulders, ears, mouth, jaw
Imbalances may present as: stiff neck, tight shoulders, headaches, TMJ, incessant talking or no talking, sore throat, thyroid conditions
Color: Blue
Third Eye Chakra
Associated with intuition, vision, seeing both intuitively and physically, imagination, wisdom
Location: center of the forehead, eyes, base of skull
Imbalances may present as: migraine headaches, blindness, eye problems, brain tumors, strokes
Color: Indigo Blue
Associated with spiritual growth, connection with Source, higher self, divine guidance, inner wisdom
Location: crown of head and slightly above, brain
Imbalances may present as: delusional states and disassociation from the body, learning and perceptual difficulties, neurosis, insomnia, color blindness, epilepsy
Color: Violet/Purple
